Pneumatic hybrid engine: Air compressor on the front axle

Is this similar to the Scuderi concept? You might also want to look into hydraulic systems, whereby hydraulic fluid at high pressure is used instead of compressed air to effect vehicle launch and for regenerative braking. A problem I see with the pneumatic hybrid engine is, with a rear wheel drive car there is no regenerative braking on the front wheels. Perhaps it might be possible to put an air compressor on the front axle of rear wheel drive vehicles, or on the rear axle of front wheel drive vehicles. This way, it will be possible to have all wheel drive when needed, and regenerative braking on all wheels.
