I was interested in your interview because my son (a native English speaker) is interested in coming to ETH for his entire degree. From experience (as a native English speaker with many years in Germany and Austria) I feel that some forced foreign language integration is important. Fluency builds quickly - but it is easy to avoid foreign language exposure when the local community offers too many accommodations. I'm happy to see that my son would have to do his first year in German.
