My research over 30 years has led me to intuitively disbelieve the 'peak phosphorus' hypothesis, but it is good to hear a mathematician's view. See my critique of the theeory at www.fertecon-frc.info/page15.htm . Closing the phosphorus cycle is indeed a good way of approaching the 'problem'.
